Per Chris Mortensen of ESPN, The Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions are nearing a deal which sends Corey Williams to the Lions for an undisclosed draft pick. Williams played well down the stretch for the Browns, particularly on the inside. Hopefully it is a 3rd rounder, but I think a 4th or 5th is more likely. In Detroit Corey will be a DT in a 4 man front, a scheme he thrived in while playing for the Packers.
Williams will take a physical tomorrow, before the deal is finalized.

Essentially, we gave up a 2nd for a 5th (good job, Savage). Oh well, he wasn't that great anyway, and this gives the new regime 9 picks in the first 5 rounds. Depth creates competition at every position, which makes for better players. Good job by the H's to get this done.
